Ward 7 Reads Extravaganza

Last Date:

Location:
www.firstbook.org/Ward7Reads
Building:
www.firstbook.org/Ward7Reads
Details:

Ward 7 Reads is collecting books--20,00 of them!--to ensure each elementary school student in Ward 7 has at least one new book of their very own.  This will help address the fact that literacy in Ward 7 is the lowest in the city: under 50%.

Octo Consulting Group, Oliva Consulting, Project 7 Refocus and the Ward 7 Education Council are coordinating this effort.

The Book Drive. First Book has set up an online “virtual” book drive to collect donations for this event, and we’re asking for your generous support of the book drive and fundraising efforts. Your online donation will allow us to choose from best-selling children’s authors and culturally appropriate titles so that elementary school children in Ward 7 become lifelong readers.

You Donate. Every $10 you donate buys 4 new books for schools in need—though any amount is appreciated. All donations are fully deductible and First Book will provide a receipt for tax purposes. To donate via the virtual book drive: Please use the following link: www.firstbook.org/Ward7Reads. To donate via check: Make all checks payable to First Book with Ward 7 Reads! in the memo line. Checks can be sent or delivered to ANC 7B between Oct. 1st -Oct. 15th to:
